If patience is a virtue, Melissa is eligible for sainthood. I came into the homebuying process as a first-time buyer with a million questions, three dogs, one cat, a complicated financing situation, and a dream. What followed was not one, not two, but THREE attempts at buying a home, and Melissa was right there through every single one. Through failed deals, changing numbers, endless questions, and enough financial worksheets to wallpaper my future living room, Melissa remained patient, responsive, knowledgeable, and endlessly reassuring. She never once made me feel like a burden for asking questions (even when I was asking the same question for the fifth time), and she always made sure I actually understood what I was signing up for. And when I say this woman goes above and beyond, I mean it quite literally. At one point, Melissa was running mortgage numbers for me from the passenger seat of a car, connected to a mobile hotspot, in the middle of a six-hour drive. I cannot think of a better example of her dedication. Most people would have reasonably said, "I'll take a look when I get home." Not Melissa. Apparently, the Jenna Homebuying Experience™ was going to remain fully operational at highway speeds. Navigating first-time homebuyer assistance and the mortgage process was intimidating, but Melissa made everything feel manageable. She was consistently on top of things, quick to respond, and genuinely invested in getting me into the right home, not just getting a loan across the finish line. By the third attempt, I think we were both afraid to get excited, but she never stopped showing up for me. I cannot overstate how much it means to have someone this competent AND this kind in your corner during one of the biggest financial decisions of your life. I have never experienced such unorganized people in any professional environment. My paperwork was repeatedly incorrect and no one knew what anyone else was doing. I highly recommend using a local lender if you are not purchasing in MA. While the individuals were friendly it was a horrible experience that left me unexcited about purchasing my first home. I was cheated out of what should have been one of the happiest moments of my life.
