My parents still laugh when they recall that my first words were, “I do.” From a young age, I’ve had a natural inclination to help, lead, and bring order to my surroundings. In the book "Trust" written by Doctor Henry Cloud, there's a story in Chapter 3 about business owners who are struggling to trust their CEO. Even though the CEO has proven himself, the owners can't seem to truly 'let go'. This is when Doctor Cloud reveals how trust and the feeling of "carelessness" go hand in hand. Questioning carelessness, Doctor Cloud reveals the following: "This kind of carelessness is much different from being careless about your business. In fact, it is caring so much that you put the right steward in charge of it, someone that will take the same care of it that you would, so you don't have to worry." That idea resonates deeply with me. It’s how I approach my work and life. Whether guiding clients through major milestones or simply offering comfort to a friend in need, I aim to create the kind of environment where people can feel safe and careless.
