Mortgage Loan Processor

General Purpose and Scope (Summary):
This position is responsible for processing first mortgages within an established time frame while adhering to investor guidelines and state and federal compliance requirements. Responsibilities/Functions:
- Review loan application, credit documents, and collateral documents received to ensure the borrower meets specific loan program qualifications
- Make welcome calls to the borrower to introduce yourself, discuss the process with the Borrower(s), set their expectations and review initial conditional approval letter
- Communicate with borrower(s) and Loan Officers as required to obtain documentation that will satisfy all underwriting conditions
- Work within the Company’s LOS to prepare and submit a fully processed file with minimal underwriting conditions and file touches
- Work with the borrower(s), Loan Officer and outside parties to effectively resolve any problems that may arise throughout the process
- Meet established turn time and file touch expectations
- Manage pipeline to ensure contingency dates, purchase contract dates, and rate expiration dates are met
- Provide superior customer service

Technical / Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Encompass
- Familiarity with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA guidelines
- Knowledgeable in running and reading DU & LP findings
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years’ processing experience
- Knowledge of first mortgage processing
- Familiarity with mortgage products and programs
Hours for position:
- M-F 9am-5pm
This position may require frequent additional hours, at times on a daily basis; must be available to work additional hours on short notice as determined by management to meet borrower service level agreements.
